Webcam Jobs and Cam Modeling

Webcam modeling is not a new way of earning and working online. Modeling on cam has been around more than a decade already, but in the last few years it took the internet by the storm.

Why? Because it’s one of the most lucrative and interesting jobs to do online from the comfort of your home.

Webcam jobs are one of the highest paying part time or even full time jobs you could do to make money online.

It can be hard and demanding, but it can make you a lot of money for a short period of time, and the whole world is your paying customer, fan or follower.

Are you ready for webcam modeling?

You need to ask yourself this question: am I ready for webcam modeling and doing cam jobs on different platforms, showing your body to the world and trying to fulfil the wildest dreams of many in your cam room?

It’s not easy to start and it’s not easy to grow, and maintain the quality of your shows, but it has it’s rewards.

Freedom to work whenever you want and make money like no one can’t.

Difference between studio and webcam sites?

Right in start you need to know some basic stuff, like what is a webcam studio, webcam site and agency.

For example, we’re an agency, and we’re here to help you make the most of your cam modeling career.

Some of us worked and some still work in it, and we don’t want you to make the same mistakes we did.

There is a lot of scam online and please be aware of this, don’t rush and don’t sign up on the first webcam site you encounter.

Read their terms and privacy pages, see who they are, read in between the lines.

Figure out if they are speaking/writing from the experience like we do, or if they’re here just there to rip you off and make money out of you.

Let’s start with the clasifications…

Webcam Modeling Studio

Studio for cam modeling is someone who is recruting the cam models, girls and guys for some of the biggest names in the industry.

Sure, they can hep you with signing up on different cam sites, but there is a catch.

You see, webcam site pays webcam studio a percentage of your earnings.

Webcam studio takes a percentage of your earnings for managing your profile, payouts and for finding you a paying customers.

Cam modeling Percentages:

Webcam site gives let’s say 70% of your earnings to your webcam studio, so they don’t have to think about paying you and managing you.

Webcam studio takes anywhere from 20 to 30% out of those 70%, which leaves you with less than or around 50%.

Don’t be fooled when webcam studio announce that they are giving you 60, 70 or 80%, they do, but from their own cut, which is sometimes even less than 70%.

That’s why it’s definitely better to go directly with one of the best and highest paying cam sites, then through a cam studio.

Let’s do some simple math:

You, a cam model earned $100, your studio gets $70 and imagine studio gives you a high percentage which is a less likely.

If your cut is 80%, this means you will earn $56. As you see, going through the cam studio will not going to pay off in the long run.

Webcam Sites

Going directly with the webcam modeling sites is always a better idea, even if you get 60%, you get 60%.

Hope this clears everything a bit.

What are the pros and cons of working as a Webcam Model?

Pros:

  1. Work Freedom
  2. Money (You’re your own Boss)
  3.  Life Experience
  4. Excitement

Cons:

  1. Less Privacy
  2. Dealing With All Kinds of People
  3. Keeping a secret from friend and family

Cam Models Privacy

This is definitely the MOST IMPORTANT part of doing webcam jobs online. All kinds of people are out there, you MUST NOT share your real indentity, use a stage name, alias, fake name. Only webcam modeling site needs to know your real identity, no one else.

Most of the cam sites also have a feature called “Country Blocking” where you can block your own country from accessing and seeing you on certain cam show.

But remember, this job creates a mini celebrity out of you, and if someone wants to find out who you are, they can, that’s why it’s really important to be cautious when doing webcam modeling.

Webcam Modeling and Taxes

Thinking that you can work online without paying your taxes is a BIG MISTAKE. If you want to cash out your money, you will need to pay income tax.

Every country has it’s own rules, ask around, but for the most webcam sites if you cross certain treshold ($600 in a year) you will get W8 and W9 forms to fill out.

W8 if you’re outside US and W9 for US citizens. If you’re interested in more in detailed information, please contact your accountant.

Webcam Model Earnings and Percentages

Now comes the most interesting part, your earnings and percentages. Most cam sites sell tokens or charge per minute, and cam model earns a percentage.

On some cam sites 100 tokens cost around $10, if your cut is 50% then it means that after every 100 tokens earned you have $5 in your pocket.

Other cam sites charge users per minute, so if the minute costs $2, you get $1, somewhere around that. It all depends on which cam site do you work.

Simple math:

100 tokens = $10; Cam Model Earns $5, if the percentage is 50%

1 minute cam show = $2; Cam Model Earns $1

Social Media and Followers

You cannot leave this part out, if you want to cut that learning curve and time to grow your followers base, you need to be active on social media.

Especially on instagram, tumblr and twitter, post daily photos of your cam shows, add hashtags, announce your cam shows etc..

Connect with other more famous and experienced cam models out there, see what they’re doing and use in your own campaigns.

Growing your fan base is not gonna be easy, one tip we used to promote our own cam show were porn sites.

That’s correct, create short video teaser and upload it on popular porn sites, this will create a buzz around your name and build your brand up.

You won’t believe how much users you can attract this way and introduce them in who you are and why should they pay to watch you performing as a cam girl.
